Death Leaves a Trace

Private alpha #2

26 November to 10 December 2026

Two weeks on the real game server, on the island of Ravenholm. 100 spots, then a waiting list.

The server opens on Thursday 26 November at 21:30 and closes on Thursday 10 December at 23:00 (Paris time). In between, play whenever you like. The game installs with its launcher, which keeps it up to date: the link will be given to those signed up before the opening.

What you need

A Discord account

A member of our Discord: no sign-up without it. That is where the alpha, the announcements and the help live.

64-bit Windows

The game only runs on Windows for now.

About 350 MB

The full game install, through its launcher.

A thank-you for bug hunters

Report at least one bug, validated and confirmed by the team, and a custom skin will be waiting for you when the game comes out. Invite your friends too: the top three recruiters will design a quest.

The charter

A few simple rules. It is an alpha, and you are among the first.

  1. A Discord account, on our server. It is how you sign up, then how you follow the alpha: announcements, help, bug reports. It can only sign up once.
  2. Show the game, as much as you like. Screenshots, videos, live streams on Twitch or YouTube, posts on social media: you can share it all, anywhere, without asking. The more people talk about the game, the better. Just say it is an alpha (the game will still change a lot) and, if you like, add the link deathleavesatrace.com.
  3. One account per person. Your account is for you alone, do not lend it. A friend wants to play? Send them this page: they sign up too.
  4. It is an alpha. Bugs, crashes, disconnections: they are expected, that is precisely why we are here. Accounts and characters may be reset after the alpha.
  5. We play fair. No cheating, respect for others. A bug gets reported, not exploited.
  6. The questionnaire, at the end. A few ratings and a comment if you like. Two or three minutes.
  7. Your information only serves the alpha. Your account name and Discord username are used to run the alpha. Your password creates your game account; the site does not keep it. Pick one you use nowhere else.

Whoever breaks the charter loses their access.

Leave your trace

Your login for the game. 3 to 16 letters or digits, starting with a letter.

6 to 32 characters. It creates your game account; the site does not keep it. Never a password you use elsewhere.

Your username, not your display name: grey_raven for “Grey Raven”. You must have joined our Discord: it is checked when you send the form, and the Alpha tester role is given to you there.
